Chapman Heating & Air Conditioning Honors Humane Society Executive Director

INDIANAPOLIS, August 26, 2014 – Chapman Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc., a local HVAC company in Indianapolis, along with Habegger Corporation, a company that provides HVAC parts, supplies, services, training and equipment, honored Rebecca Stevens, the Executive Director of the Humane Society for Hamilton County, with the Bryant True Heroes award at the Humane Society’s Dog Day Afternoon event on Saturday, August 23, 2014.

Chapman Heating and Air Conditioning is a long time supporter of the Hamilton County Humane Society and its efforts to find animals good homes. They are currently the largest independent Bryant dealer in the Indianapolis area.The Bryant True Heroes program provides Bryant Factory Authorized Dealers the opportunity to honor real heroes who have made positive impacts on their communities. While Bryant dealers come to the rescue with a new air conditioner on a 100-degree day or a new furnace in the middle of winter, the True Heroes are those who selflessly devote their lives to serving others.

Jeff Chapman, the owner of Chapman Heating and Air Conditioning, along with John Taylor, Sales Manager at Habegger Corporation, chose to nominate Stevens for her efforts to keep animals in Hamilton County and many from all over the state of Indiana safe.

Chapman said, “She lives to help find these animals’ good homes. Rebecca has shown how a not for profit organization can make a positive impact on the community. We wanted to honor her for all of her hard work and dedication to keeping these animals safe. She is the prime example of a true hero.”

Jennifer Judd, Marketing and Public Relations Manager for the Humane Society for Hamilton County, played a large part in the nomination process, as well as planning the ceremony for Stevens.Stevens had no idea she was nominated for the Bryant True Heroes award, or that she would be receiving it at the Human Society for Hamilton County event. She was completely surprised by her coworkers and peers.
