More Chapman Champions

Working with Butler University we established the Chapman Champions Award. This recognition is given to a student who shows consistent hard work, outstanding teamwork, dedication and overall excellence in their time at Butler University. Selected for these values, each Chapman Champion represents the hardworking leaders of tomorrow, through their passion and tenacity.

The award is presented at each home game. This week meet Paige Haefer who receive the award on 12/10/16.

Paige Haefer is a senior from Madison, Wisconsin and is a Human Communication and Organizational Leadership major, with Sociology and Strategic Communications minors.

She is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and is the President of the Student Government Association on campus. In her role as SGA President, Paige is committed to serving the entire student body through organization involvement, academic college, residence life, and class year.

She has shown tremendous leadership and service to the Butler community and has embraced what it means to be a Bulldog!

Meet some of the other winners:

11/12/16 – Jordan Sloan

Jordan has shown hard work, dedication and excellence in his time at Butler University. Jordan is an engineering major in the class of 2019 and is also a member of the Butler ticket office staff. His ability to learn quickly and provide tremendous customer service has been a huge asset to the rest of the ticket office staff and to Butler Athletics.

11/19 Karen Poirier

At this game, Mike Freeman, Associate Athletic Director and John Gavin, representing Chapman Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing  changed the rules and presented the award to Butler athletic staff member, Karen Poirier.

11/21 Tom Ellefson

Proving that it takes many people to run a successful program at this game the head of the volunteer ticket takers was recognized by Tom Crowley, Deputy Director of Athletics and John Gavin, representing Chapman Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing.

Tom Ellefson has been head of the volunteer ticket takers at Hinkle Fieldhouse for over 10 years. He has provided excellent customer service and leadership and has been a vital part of the game day operation during basketball games. The games would not be the same without him.
