What to do if your heat pump isn’t generating heat.
If your heat pump isn’t working properly there are a few simple things you can check before you call us to make a repair. Here is a simple check list you can use to troubleshoot your heat pump.
- Check the settings on your thermostat. Make sure the temperature control selector is set above the current room temperature, and the system switch is on the HEAT or AUTO position. The fan switch should be set to ON for continuous airflow or AUTO if you want the blower to operate only while the heat pump is operating.
- Try to get the heat pump to turn on by raising the thermostat to its highest temperature setting.
- If the air flow out of your registers seems low, check the air filter. An extremely dirty air filter can block air flow.
- Make sure all registers are open and not obstructed.
- Check the power disconnect switch by each unit (outdoor and indoor).
- Check the fuse/breaker at the electrical panel for both the outdoor and indoor unit.
- If the problem persists, please call us.

Springtime allergies are just the worst. You are constantly sneezing, your eyes are watery and itchy and you feel congested all of the time. It’s unbearable! Don’t let your seasonal allergies get the best of you. Fight back against springtime allergies with these easy tricks.
Rid Yourself of Pollen and Allergens
If you suffer from springtime allergies you will want to make sure you shower before going to sleep. Pollen and allergens in the air will stick to your skin and hair throughout the day and going to sleep without washing them off will only make your allergies worse. A quick shower before you go sleep is an easy way to keep your allergies in check. Also, invest in a good nasal spray. This will help flush out allergens and mucus (gross) and allow you to breathe a little easier.
Install a Bryant Perfect Air Purifier
A Bryant Perfect Air Purifier is the perfect solution to your allergy woes. This device helps protect the air quality of your entire home. It re-purifies the air in your home as often as eight times each hour! That’s some pretty clean air. A Bryant Perfect Air Purifier is silent, requires little to no maintenance besides replacing the filter and will create a healthy environment free of dirt, dust and allergens. What more could you ask for? .
Choose a Fresh Air Ventilation System
A fresh air ventilation system helps bring fresh air into your home, without racking up an enormous bill. The lack of fresh air coming into your home means you are constantly breathing in the stale, allergen-filled air. This will only aggravate your allergies even more. A fresh air ventilation system helps reduce carbon monoxide (CO) levels as well as dust, allergens and debris. This system allows you to manually or automatically adjust the amount of fresh air flowing into your home.
Springtime is great! The sun is shining and the flowers are blooming, but allergens are also everywhere. Don’t let your springtime allergies get you down. Use these tips to make your life easier, healthier and more enjoyable this spring. For more information about our products or services, give us a call at 317-291-4909 or visit our website today!
